How FromYourNetwork works
You are set up in about ten minutes. The next working day you read your first opportunities by email. Below is every step: what you do and what you see.
The idea in three words
A signal on its own is a cold list. Add a way in, and it becomes an opportunity.
Signal
Something happens at a company. It views your pricing page, fills in your contact form or starts following you on Instagram.
Way in
Who you already know there. A connection, someone you emailed, a customer or a former customer.
Opportunity
A signal with a way in. Someone you call or email today, with the reason why.
Up and running in ten minutes
The order is deliberate: first what takes time, then the rest while you wait. You can skip any step.
Create your account
1 minuteCreate your account at app.fromyournetwork.com and fill in your website. Choose Growth free for 7 days, or Free with 1 opportunity a week. The 7 days only start when you choose Growth.
Request your LinkedIn export first
2 minutesLinkedIn takes a while to prepare your export. So request it first, and do the rest while you wait. Here is how. Instagram works too.
Drop in your customer file or CRM export
1 to 2 minutesAn export from your CRM, accounting tool or Excel. Find your tool: it shows how to export. Any Excel or CSV file works. We suggest which column is what, you confirm. Using Claude or ChatGPT with a connection to your CRM? Then your AI can pass it on too, see step 5.
You see right away what is in it, for example: 86 customers, 31 former customers, 14 open quotes.
Add the script to your site
2 minutesOne line of code in the head of your site. Do it yourself, via Google Tag Manager, or let the app email your web developer. Per platform, the guide below shows where the line goes. Using Leadinfo or Leadfeeder? Connect that instead.
As soon as the script works, the app shows: "We see your site."
Do you want to connect it to Claude or ChatGPT?
1 minuteYes, no or later. It all works without. With it, you connect our MCP and your AI passes on what you are allowed to see: your customers and quotes from your CRM, who you emailed and when, and the contacts in your project folders. Never the content or subject of an email. We link it to your LinkedIn connections and use it in your emails. Here is how.
Drop in your exports
30 secondsWhen the email from LinkedIn or Instagram arrives, drop the zip into the box. No need to unzip.
You see who you know, for example: 1,240 people at 730 companies.
Describe your ideal customer and invite your colleagues
2 minutesDescribe your ideal customer in plain words. Our AI turns it into criteria, you approve them. Confirm your top 20, paste five to twenty dream customers and invite your colleagues. Anyone who only adds their network is free.
Choose your schedule
20 secondsEvery workday, twice a week or once a week, depending on your plan, at a time you choose. The default is 08:00. Your first email arrives the next working day.
Whatever you skip comes back at most as one line below your morning email. Never as a blocker. Even one source gives you something: the script alone shows which companies visit your site.
Adding the script to your site
You find your line of code in the app, at the Your website step. It is one line. Pick your platform below.
<script async src="(your personal line from the app)"></script>
WordPress
- Install the free WPCode plugin (Insert Headers and Footers): Plugins > Add New.
- Go to Code Snippets > Header & Footer.
- Paste your line in the Header box.
- Click Save Changes. If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache.
Webflow
- Open Site settings and choose the Custom code tab.
- Paste your line in Head code.
- Click Save changes.
- Publish the site. The line only works on the published site.
Wix
- Go to Settings > Development & integrations > Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code, paste your line and give it a name.
- Choose All pages and under Place Code in: Head.
- Click Apply.
Shopify
- Go to Online Store > Themes, click the three dots next to your theme and choose Edit code.
- In the layout folder, open theme.liquid.
- Paste your line inside the <head>, for example just before </head>.
- Click Save.
Squarespace
- Open the Pages panel and choose Custom Code > Code Injection at the bottom.
- Paste your line in the Header box.
- Click Save.
Google Tag Manager
- Go to Tags > New > Tag Configuration and choose Custom HTML.
- Paste your line.
- Choose the trigger Initialization - All Pages.
- Save, then click Submit and Publish.
HubSpot CMS
- Click the settings icon and go to Content > Pages.
- Choose Default settings for all domains.
- Paste your line in Site Header HTML.
- Click Save.
Framer
- Open Project Settings and choose the Custom Code tab.
- Click Add Script, paste your line and choose the head as the place.
- Publish your site.
Own site
- Paste the line just before </head> in the template that loads on every page.
- Put the site live and open it in a new tab.
- The app shows "We see your site" as soon as the script works.
What the script does
- Recognises the company behind a visit, never the person.
- Sets no cookies, stores nothing in the browser and takes no fingerprint.
- Reads your contact forms: name, email address, company and phone. Never passwords, payment fields or free text.
- Cannot see a form inside an iframe, such as HubSpot or Typeform forms. Those come in through the connection with that system.
- Follows your cookie banner if it forbids it. You can also set it to run only after consent.
- Is small and loads after your page.
Your privacy notice
Visitors to your site are entitled to an explanation. The app has a sample text for your own privacy notice, in Dutch and English, including the reading of forms.
After adding it, open your site in a new tab. As soon as the script makes contact, the app turns green. If that has not happened after 48 hours, you get one reminder with the most common mistake.
LinkedIn: exporting your connections
LinkedIn has no official connection for your own connections. So you make an export yourself. That keeps your account safe: no login session, no extension, no scraping.
How to request it
- On LinkedIn, click Me at the top right and choose Settings & Privacy.
- Choose Data privacy, then Get a copy of your data.
- Pick the smaller download and tick only Connections. That is all we need.
- Click Request archive and enter your password.
- LinkedIn emails you when it is ready. Drop the file in the box: the zip or Connections.csv both work.
LinkedIn emails you when the export is ready. That can take a day. Button names may differ slightly if LinkedIn changes its menu.
What is in it and what we do with it
- Per connection: name, company, job title and the date you connected.
- An email address only if that person allows it. So that field is often empty, and that is normal.
- We keep only name, company, job title and date. We do not keep the file itself.
- Drop in a new export later, and you see who changed jobs and who is new.
Instagram and Facebook
Connect with Meta: you sign in at Meta itself, and we see who messages you, comments on your posts or fills in your ads. Only who and when, never the content. Meta does not hand over your followers through a connection; you export those yourself.
Your followers: how to request the export
- Open Instagram on a computer and go to More > Your activity > Download your information (in Accounts Center).
- Choose Download or transfer information, pick your account, then Some of your information.
- Tick only Followers and following.
- Choose Download to device, format JSON and date range All time. Click Create files.
- You get an email when it is ready. Drop the zip in the box.
Meta emails you when the export is ready. That can take a while. Menu names can differ slightly per app version.
What we do with it
- Does a company account follow you, and is that account on the company’s own site? Then it is certain: "Vela Energy follows you."
- Does a follower look like someone in your network, such as @pjansen and Peter Jansen? Then we ask you whether it is right. Until you confirm, it is a suggestion.
- The first export sets the baseline. A later export shows who has started following you since.
- Through the Meta connection: who messages you on Instagram or Facebook, who comments on your posts or mentions you, and the leads from your Meta ads. There too, we look for who you already know.
- Meta gives no list of followers for a Facebook page. Messages, comments and leads from your page we do read.
Your morning email
One email on your schedule. No dashboard to keep up with.
- Daily, twice a week or weekly, at a time you choose.
- Our own AI links the signals and explains why. With Claude or ChatGPT you can dig deeper.
- Five opportunities at most, the most important first.
- Per opportunity: why now, who you know there, and how sure we are.
- We only suggest an email when there is a lawful reason, such as earlier contact or a request from that person. Otherwise we suggest a call, to a company.
- A fixed Reconnect section: at most two old relationships that matter again because of something new.
- What we saw without a way in is listed separately under "Also seen".
- You read, edit and send. We never send anything.
How sure is it?
Every statement gets the word that fits. The same four, everywhere.
